The IP server or IP video codec systems have been carefully designed by Vista Silicon's  engineering team to transmit maximum quality with the minimum bandwith available and ensure reliability and high resistance to  power failures.
The IP server uses H.264 codec, support PAL and NTSC and can be configured with different resolutions and quality levels. There is an optimized model with JPEG compression and HD resolution directed to video surveillance and supervision specific applications that require a minimum latency time. The systems have Linux O.S. embedded and connectivity capabilities with other HW through serial interfaces, inputs and outputs. They include memory slots for uSD memory cards and mini USB interfaces that allows local storage and configuration updates. Firmware updates and configuration changes are remotely executed from a PC or a server through the VCRS (Visstrim Configuration Reference Suite) configuration tool. This tool, distributed with Visstrim systems, establishes an SSH secure connection with the IP server through the generation of public and private keys.
